(Annie submitted her bio online - you can, too)

Annie has been playing pool since she was 16, but leagues and tourneys since 2002.

Annie started playing pool because:
"I first started playing pool when I was 15 and my boyfriend Jason had a pool table in his apartment. I played as much as I could w/ him and his roommates and realized then how much fun this game was. When I was 19 Jason was killed in a car accident. After that I found myself going to any poolhall that would let me in with my fake id. I did nothing but play everyday. It was the only thing that made me feel better for a while. I would play at a place called Sticks...it was always free pool as long as you bought something to drink. This was when I was introduced to couple old sharks that played there at Sticks...and they loved to teach me all that they could. I haven't stopped playing since."

What does Annie love most about pool?
"I love the competition and the feeling of accomplishment you get when you have played a good match. Even if you don't win, if you think you played well you can still walk away feeling good, because in this game you will always find someone that is better than you in one way or another. I also love the fact that no matter how old you get you will always be something new to learn. The game just never gets old!"

Who influenced Annie?
"One of the most prominent people who stand out in my mind is an old gentleman by the name of John Hutchison from Dripping Springs, Tx. On top of being an amazing player, he was a carpenter. He built fancy little doll houses. He only had 3 fingers on his bridge hand, but that man could do just about anything it seemed. I wish I could see him again and show him how much learned and how much further my game has come!"

What does Anne want everyone to know about her?
"I just want to be the very best player that I can be at this game. I've said, ever since I was 19, that being a professional pool player is what I want to do when I grow up. I still don't know how I feel about the growing up thing, but playing this game for a living is definitely what I plan on doing! I love this game!!!"
