My career began at a local bar in Florida when I joined the Busch League (now the APA).  It was definitely the competition and the thrill of winning that I became drawn to.  I then started playing in local tournaments where in fact I won my first cue in a cue raffle.  If you know me then you know that I am a spiritual person who lives my life by my faith.  So, at that point, I felt it was a sign to take this sport more serious.  I was addicted!

I then decided to tackle the women on the pro tour.   I played OK, I held my own but soon found that level of competition to be frustrating.  At that point, I realized I needed to develop my game and find some consistency in my shooting ability.  It was then that another great challenge entered my life; I was in a car accident which left me, less than perfect.  My back and neck area sustained injuries that wouldn't fully heal.  I was then told I wouldn't be able to continue to compete at that level.  Only after going on my own and rehabilitating myself to strengthen that area that was injured, I began playing pool again.  Only to face another great challenge, I sucked!   The ability I once had was gone.  I found myself not to be able to execute the shots needed to win that I once relied on.

So, back to the drawing board I went.  Starting all over and more determined now than before.  I found myself, once again, competing and now even beating some of the best women in the world.  Because of my determination, stubbornness, and the fact that, no matter what, I won’t accept defeat, I have been blessed with many great pleasures in my lifetime.  The greatest, at this point, was representing an outstanding and very successful company.  The Mali Company.  I had the honor to travel with them throughout the United States and be their player representative.  I still continue to play with my Mali and probably always will.

I have seen a lot, learned much, and have since matured enough to know that it takes discipline, dedication, sacrifice, and a lot of money, to be successful on the W.P.B.A. Tour.  Now knowing that I cannot see myself sacrificing my life to go back.   Good luck to all of you who venture there.

I have given lessons, written articles, and followed and kept stats on the successful Florida Mali Tour.
( I want to thank everyone who assisted me in reaching the level of play that I did reach.  A wise player told me once that, “pool is a game of mountains and valleys, you must go down to the valleys in order to exceed on the mountains.”  This game is all about exceeding on top of the mountains!  You just cannot get stuck in the valleys. “D”)
