Lucille is a valuable member of the Hunter Classics Board.

I began playing pool by accident. Having my own Real Estate Company, one evening I had to meet a broker to go over a contract. Daily he could be found after 5 pm at a local club. One evening while there, they had a couples tournament and needed extra ladies. I entered and enjoyed it very much. Soon I found myself there on Thursday nights (if my husband was out of town). I mentioned how everyone had their own cues and for my next birthday, I received my first cue, a McDermott.

During that 1st year, Ole Olson and Barney Garza came in and began to show me good basics. They encouraged me to start on big tables and my first tournament was at "Top Cats" in San Marcos of 1990. Ladies like Vivian Villareal, Susan Dasher, Kathy Holman and Cathy (Vanover now) and the Wiz were in the tournament. They held a men's at the same time and players like Buddy Hall, Bob Vanover, Smokey Bartlett, Dick Lane and David Henson were in it. I bought Buddy in the Calcutta (and won). I was Hooked. I find it very relaxing like fishing, and unfortunately should apply myself more. I've played some pros and won and lost. I love promoting the game and I talk about pool to everyone! I not only play in the Hunter tournaments, but I also go to Vegas to play in the 8-Ball Nationals, every year in May! Both my grandsons own custom cues made by famous cue makers and are aged 6 and 2! Trevor and Keaton Evans are the love of my life, besides my Bill and pool.
